HubSpot Voted #1 CMS Ahead of WordPress

Over the past 16 years I've got to know a lot of custom, SaaS and open source Content Management Systems (CMS), everything from Vignette, Kentico, Joomla, WordPress, and Drupal to name a few.

About 10 years ago I got to know the CMS sector very well when I worked for a pioneering start-up CMS called Hot Banana (located in Barrie, Ontario). What made them interesting at the time was they added and integrated several marketing tools to their core CMS, such as Website Optimization, and Google Analytics integration, with email campaigns and workflow functionality, and a wide variety of additional content marketing tools.

Then I discovered HubSpot.

I started using the HubSpot CMS immediately for my new consultancy website, and I was very impressed. It had all the marketing automation features I was looking for, it definately took over from where Hot Banana left off, even though the CMS itself was a bit clunky - but I could see big potential, and I found out HubSpot had big plans for improvements.

The HubSpot CMS was later replaced by the HubSpot COS ... and they totally nailed it. They had successfully combined a really powerful and easy-to-use (marketing friendly) CMS, with their already excellent, all-in-one, marketing automation system. This made them unique and way ahead of their competition.

Since then The Brit Agency have become big advocates of building websites using the HubSpot Content Optimization System (COS) technology for Inbound Website Design.

With 1,225 reviews at the time of writing, HubSpot currently averages 4.6 stars out of 5, with 96% of reviews four stars or higher.
